The Robotic cart reads RF identification (RFID) tags to guide users to products or service counters. Custom software was designed by the team for an embedded laptop computer, an RFID antenna, a braille display (reader), and a keypad input device. The carts were built for less than US$20,000 using integrated off-the-shelf components.”
