SkyRFID unveils RFID weapons management solution

SkyRFID Inc. announced the availability of its RFID enabled weapons, tactical gear and parts solution for small, large and multisite armories.

The Web-based weapons management solution from SkyRFID uses RFID cards for secure access to the facility and RFID tags to track weapons, parts and tactical gear. The Internet-based software offers real-time location and enables users to view reports and full details on all weapons in the system wherever they are.


Inventory is taken with the hand held RFID readers and can be quickly matched by to the graphical locations on the computer workstation to determine if items are missing or simply misplaced in the wrong shelf, safe or rack. Door portals are also used for an additional automated check in/check out to ensure no items are missed.

SkyRFID uses shelf antennas with powered antenna splitters to provide the capability of multiple antennas on a single fixed reader port. With several MUX designs available users can monitor as many as 256 locations with a single port of a 4 port reader. [end] 

DAILY RFID released its latest Bluetooth-enabled ultra-high frequency RFID reader, the DL930B.

With a read range of up to eight meters and a fast read rate, the DL930B supports a wide variety of industrial applications, including asset management, baggage handling, container and pallet tracking, item-level inventory management and warehouse logistics.
