OMNITROL Networks debuts Retail Smart-Store solution

Wednesday, October 26, 2011

OMNITROL Networks announced the launch of the next generation of its Retail Smart-Store software application, with integrated customer behavior analytics that provide retail stores with information to shift stock levels based on customer interaction.

The solution offers automated predictive replenishment alerts which aid to eliminate in-store stock-outs, optimize store-to-store transfers and reduce mark-downs. Smart-Store solution further utilizes RFID so that retailers not only know what is on their shelves, but also what items their customers are interacting with at the store, and which of those they are purchasing.

Retail Smart-Store solution tracks customer behaviors such as product touch rates on the shelf and fitting room activity. These are also linked with purchase rates, enabling the retailer to shift inventory based on real-time customer behavior information for the specific location.

With the information, retailers can customize every store’s inventory based on local customer - potentially leading to higher revenue, profitability, and overall customer satisfaction for the trailer. [end]
