Xterprise targets mobile application at footwear retail market

Monday, October 17, 2011

Xterprise released a configuration of its Clarity Mobile application targeting the footwear retail market. This specific configuration addresses problems retailers face when having to make sure that their display inventory is accurate and complete.

The Clarity Mobile application gives retailers an accurate inventory of the sales floor displays with the ability to view a real-time report of what is missing from the sales floor. This allows employees to fill the display inventory so that customers can pick out what they are interested in, leading to new sales.

The Clarity Mobile leverages Microsoft’s Azure cloud technology which means retailers only have to provide wireless connectively for the RFID terminals within the store - no servers - and have the reporting delivered through the Clarity web inventory reporting portal.

Xterprise’s Clarity technology leverages other Microsoft technologies including .Net, SQL, and Windows Mobile. Customers of Clarity Mobile are also deploying the companion product, Clarity ST (Source Tagging), a cloud based application for in-store and in-distribution center item-level source tagging of inventory items. [end]
