AVI Infosys integrates Facebook for RFID social marketing

AVI Infosys is gearing up for the launch of an RFID-based integrated Facebook system at the 2011 Gitex Shopper in Dubai, according to AME Info.

Visitors will be given RFID key fobs which they can register and sync up with the Facebook profile. The expo will install specially designed Facebook “Like” RFID readers throughout the complex, which visitors can interact with to share and update information on their “Facebook Wall”.


AVI Infosys also said Facebook visitors will be able to share their offline experiences with their online friends and enter for a chance to win exciting products from HP.

The annual IT and consumer electronics retail expo will be held from October 8 - 15, 2011 at Airport Expo Dubai.
