Fallsview Casino Resort taps InvoTech GIMS RFID uniform tracking system

Tuesday, August 23, 2011

The Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario has selected the GIMS uniform system with ultra-high frequency RFID technology to automate uniform tracking and distribution to the property’s 3,500 team members.

Together with a White Conveyors U-Pick-It System, the GIMS inventory control system will provide Fallsview 24x7 automated uniform distribution. Staff members simply present their employee ID card to an RFID reader and the system issues a clean uniform in less than a minute.

Developed by InvoTech Systems, Inc., the GIMS linen tracking system is able to scan, inventory, and generate reports for entire carts of uniforms all at one time. This will further increase efficiency and save staff time for the once labor-intensive job of hand counting and manual record keeping. [end]
