GAO portable RFID reader suits wide use applications

GAO RFID announced the release of its portable pistol grip RFID reader/writer designed for wide use in warehouse distribution, shop floors, point-of-sale transactions and field services.

The high frequency RFID reader, model 223005, is compatible with both ISO15693 and ISO14443A/B protocols and compliant with both North American and European standards. It features a maximum reading distance of 7 centimeters while doing 20 tags per second.

Also, it features multi-detection capability, optional communication interfaces, and a memory of 64 MB RAM/128 ROM. It is equipped with a high-definition backlit TFT-LCD screen with a touch panel display within a durable high-impact plastic housing. [end] 

Portable Technology Solutions (PTS) announced the availability of its front end data collection tool, ClearStream RFID, designed for real-time inventory and asset tracking.

Complementing the release, Eplica Services in San Diego, Ca. said it will use ClearStream RFID for security tracking and attendance for thousands of workers entering and exiting remote construction work sites throughout North America.

GAO RFID Asset Tracking announced an ultra-high frequency Gen 2 RFID reader with 4-port read and 4-port listen.

This RFID reader, operating at the frequency range of 902 to 928 MHz, reads Gen 2 compatible transponders at a maximum distance of up to 7 meters or more. It also offers communication interfaces including Ethernet TCP/ IP, DHCP and HTTPS for data exchange.
