Share@Site updates your status with Social Networking over RFID

Friday, August 5, 2011

Promart Promotion and Bilpark Information Technologies announced the launch of Share@Site, a Social Networking over RFID (or SNoRFID) platform, which enables event visitors to update their social network accounts using RFID technology.

Share@Site can be used at festivals, events, amusement parks, conference to support ‘Like’, tagging photos, instant comments, shopping credits, location-based contests and there is also discussion of loyalty card applications.

The Share@Site platform was used at the Rock’n Coke 2011 Festival by Coca-Cola where visitors were given their own individual RFID wristbands as they entered the event area. After registering their Facebook accounts with their wristbands visitors could check in at various locations and the system immediately sent an update status to their Facebook account.

Coca-Cola announced that 70,000 posts were sent during the event. [end]
