Poultry management tag unveiled

Thursday, June 2, 2011

DAILY RFID has released an RFID ring tag designed for poultry management in applications, such as ducks, pigeons, chickens and other poultry management.

The chip comes sealed inside an open loop style tag, which can be worn on the foot so that it can be positively identified and information can be automatically stored for easy management. The RFID tag can be customized with different colors and to support international standards such as ISO 11784, ISO 11785 or ISO 15693 protocols.

Available in black, blue or red, the “pigeon” tag is constructed of ABS material that can withstand most water and outdoor environments. With storage of the data, the RFID can be read within a range from 3 centimeters to 10 centimeters, thus avoiding human error in pigeon tracking such as a pigeon racing event. [end]
