EarthSearch inks $5 million deal, expands offerings in China

EarthSearch Communications has signed a letter of intent with ZST Digital Networks, China-based provider to local logistics and transportation companies, to offer its LogiBoxx integrated GPS and RFID solution in the Greater China market.

The letter of intent grants ZSTN exclusive distribution rights to EarthSearch technology, which offers various industry applications including oil tank and oil pipeline monitoring in addition to real time item-level tracking and real-time visibility of numerous logistic operations.


As part of the agreement, ZSTN will commit to minimum quarterly purchases that should meet an annual delivery of $5 million US dollars worth of products and services from EarthSearch.

Both companies agree to a six months development period for implementation and training of ZSTN staff before launching operations. EarthSearch engineers will also assist in the development of a new user interface to fit the local Chinese market, as well as training on understanding how the hardware is implemented for different applications. [end] 

EarthSearch Communications has entered into a partnership agreement with Cynox, the Nigerian technology solutions provider, to monitor fuel levels in oil tankers.

In Nigeria, the cancellation of government oil subsidies has lead to increasing concerns over oil theft. EarthSearch’s integrated RFID and GPS product, together with level sensor technology will be used to monitor sudden drops in fuel level to detect the unauthorized siphoning of oil from the top of tanker.
