Monday, May 2, 2011

DAILY RFID launched a trio of RFID solutions designed for various applications ranging from the jewelry shop to the parking lot.

First up is DAILY’s silicone RFID wristband tag series designed for laundry, theme parks, spas and other applications. The reusable tag is waterproof, anti-acid and heat-resistant and can be wiped and written more than 100,000 times. Sealed in a protective silicone housing, the tags are also customizable to support ISO standards, like ISO 18000-6C/6B, ISO 15693 or ISO 14443 protocols.

To track your bling, DAILY revealed its new RFID jewelry tag. The tag carries an assigned unique identification number to capture full details of the corresponding item, further enhancing the safety inventoried products such as jewels.

In addition, DAILY’s has deployed its latest reader the 900 MHz ultra-high frequency RFID reader, the DL6940. This ultra-high frequency RFID reader operates in the 902 MHz to 928 MHz range and offers the ability to simultaneously scan dozens of tags in any direction. The company is targeting the product towards applications such as vehicle access control, warehouse management applications, and process automation. [end]

India recently opened its first RFID-based electronic toll collection (ETC) plaza at Chandimandir in Haryana’s Panchkula district.

The technology enables road users to make toll payments without stopping at the plaza and, in turn, reduce traffic congestion and commuting time. With the new electronic system, toll statements can also be obtained online so that users that need a receipt do not have to stop at the toll plaza.
