GAO launches silicon wristband tag for ID applications

GAO RFID has announced the launch of its new contactless UHF Gen 2 silicon wristband tag.

Designed for personnel verification in hospitals, nursing homes, schools and other institutions, the tag (model 116401) operates at 860-960MHz, providing a read range of 5-12 cm. The Gen 2 IMPINJ-complaint tag also features 96 bits of memory and comes encased in silicon, making it comfortable to wear. [end] 

Dutch RFID inlay maker Smartrac has announced the availability of its new Midas NFC tag.

Designed to link small objects with cloud services, Midas tags can be attached to electronics and various other accessories allowing for a unique identification of the object while at the same time granting access to a range of services and options residing in the cloud.
