Global pharma co. selects FileTrail, tracks physical and biological assets

FileTrail announced the implementation of its RFID records management solution with by a global pharmaceutical company to improve quality systems and regulatory compliance.

FileTrail’s RFID solution will be used to automate compliance and tracking of a variety of items ranging from Food and Drug Administration regulated documents to archived records to biologics, such as tissue samples.


For example, in Drug Safety, FileTrail inventories and manages tissue samples and allows tissue samples inside boxes to be audited without the need to break the seal on those boxes. In addition to biological assets, the RFID technology from FileTrail is being implemented in many areas to track and manage IP assets, lab notebooks, and traditional file folders.

The first phase of implementation includes offices in the U.S., UK, Germany and France. Later phases will cover more locations globally. [end] 

Intelligent InSites and WaveMark announced the integration of WaveMark’s enterprise visibility solution of consumable assets including medical implantable devices and supplies with the Intelligent InSites enterprise RTLS software solution.
