FEIG ELECTRONICS unveils new reader at Auto-ID event

At this year’s AIM Expo, FEIG ELECTRONICS announced the unveil of the latest addition to its line of ultra-high frequency long-range readers.

Licensed according to ETSI and FCC, the long-range reader LRU3500 has a detection range of up to 10 meters and its decoding engine reads FM0- and Miller coded return link signals for, as an example, Dense Reader Mode or ISO 18000-6-B.

The unit has a low-noise transmitting architecture and the robust aluminum die cast housing is ideal for use in rough environments. The LRU3500 offers five different hardware interface ports, including Ethernet, RS232, RS485, USB and USB-Host for WLAN dongle or memory stick. The unit also allows for two different methods of power supply including external 24V power supply or power over Ethernet.

Additionally, the LRU3500 offers support for the Multiplexer ID ISC.ANT.UMUX, to be used in antenna systems with a maximum of 2,048 antennas. [end]
