Wednesday, October 13, 2010

Gaming Partners International Corporation, a provider of RFID-enabled casino currency and table game equipment, announced that it has been chosen to supply the Galaxy Macau casino with all of its casino chips and plaques.

The order will provide Galaxy Macau approximately one million high frequency RFID-equipped casino chips and plaques to prepare the casino for its grand opening in 2011. This RFID technology will allows Galaxy Macau to verify the authenticity and value of each chip, reducing the possibility of counterfeiting, staff pilferage or miscounts.

The chips and plaques being deployed for the Galaxy Macau are from the GPI’s Bourgogne et Grasset line of casino currency products, which include a variety of styles, shapes and color combinations to meet the casino’s aesthetic, operational and security requirements.

Supplied readers and software will also enable the casino to track individual chips throughout the gaming floor as well as follow payments, fills and credits, tips, and wins and losses per table at any time of the day. [end]
