iDTRONIC key fob equips Alien technology

iDTRONIC, a provider for RFID readers and transponders, has extended its key fob Drop series to include Alien HIGGS 3 ultra-high frequency EPC Gen2 technology.

This robust key fob is completely waterproof and supports the global frequencies 860 to 960MHz. And, it also meets EPC Global Class1 Gen2 & ISO 180000-6C standards, making it possible to use with common ultra-high frequency readers at a reading range of up to 80cm.


iDTRONIC’s key fob Drop series is also available with the most common ICs in 125kHz as well as in 13,56MHz including the Mifare family, DESFire, Legic and I-code SLI.

Personalization options available includes customized pad printing, IC encoding and serial number printing. iDTRONIC RFID key fobs fits for access control applications and fitness and leisure areas. [end] 

Alien Technology and MyDealerLot are working together on a project to provide car dealerships with RFID-enabled client recognition systems and zonal-based inventory location systems.

The joint solution was implemented at a large European luxury car brand in New York City. The automated vehicle technology consists of nine Alien RFID readers, including eight Alien ALR-9900+ enterprise readers and one ALR-9650 single antenna RFID solution.

IC TAG utilizes Alien Technology’s EPC Gen 2 Squiggle, Squiglette, and Square inlays in their IC-TAG RFID labels and tags. Alien uses its own proprietary microchip, Higgs 3, to produce its ultra-high frequency RFID tracking devices.
