ETRI joins RFID Consortium, promotes UHF RFID adoption

Sisvel US and the RFID Consortium announced that Electronic and Telecommunications Research Institute has joined the RFID Consortium and will participate in the it’s joint licensing program for patents necessary to the ultra-high frequency RFID standard.

Sisvel is the administrator of the licensing program, and it the Consortium’s effort to promote adoption of ultra-high frequency RFID technology by offering a single license to patents essential to the practice of the RFID standards owned by the participating companies.

ETRI now joins the RFID Consortium, along with 3M, France Telecom, HP, LG Electronics, Motorola, ThingMagic, and Zebra Technologies. [end] 

Fraud prevention, authentication and transaction verification provider has joined “Get Safe Online,” a UK initiative that promotes safe and secure Internet use.

The program is a venture between the UK government, law enforcement, private enterprise and the public and aims to give free advice to individuals and small businesses to build their awareness and show them the tools for proper Internet safety and security.
