APS, Zebra assimilate for improved gate speed

Thursday, July 15, 2010

APS Technology Group is partnering with Zebra to integrate solutions for tracking containers and truck processing for the Gulf Stevedoring Contracting Company of Saudi Arabia.

APS will provide its optical recognition portal and driver kiosks to automate marine container identification, remote damage inspection and truck processing at the company’s Jeddah and Jubail terminals.

APS will also integrate with Zebra’s SPARCS N4 terminal operating system and autogate system to automatically identify marine containers as they enter and exit the facility, thereby decreasing congestion at the gate and increasing security within the terminal. [end]
