G4S links with DecisionPoint for mobile tracking system

DecisionPoint Systems announced that G4S Secure Solutions USA has called on them for assistance in the integration and deployment support of Secure Trax Plus, a proprietary security management software platform incorporating a mobile tracking system.

Secure Trax Plus offers G4S’ clients security and communication capabilities, such as real-time event monitoring and situational management, and business intelligence.

DecisionPoint will be responsible for linking the software platform to mobile devices, thus enhancing the technology’s capability of running on a wide range of systems, including mobile devices, laptops, and desktop computers. [end] 

RecycleBank has selected DecisionPoint Systems to design, implement and support its asset management platform in the field.

RecycleBank provides incentives through its recycling rewards program across 26 states and in the UK using RFID-enabled recycling carts to track household participation. Using specially-equipped recycling trucks, the RFID carts are weighed - the weight is converted to points that be redeemed at over 2,500 local and national businesses.

B.O.S. Better Online Solutions announced the implementation and delivery of an RFID-enabled production line tracking system for Hollandia International, developer of advanced sleep systems.

The system is based on the BOS ID software platform and BOS RFID Server, and includes Gen2 RFID inlays from UPM Raflatac, and Intermec’s CN3 mobile terminals and its IP30 RFID reader.

About 37 million higher-frequency RFID and RTLS-enabled asset tracking and asset management tags are expected to ship this year but that’s expected to grow to nearly 150 million by 2014. That equates to a compound annual growth rate from 2010 to 2014 of more than 40%, according to a new study released by ABI Research. Revenues are expected to reach $845 million in four years.
