Monday, June 28, 2010

A. Harvey & Co. Ltd., a supplier of support services to the offshore oil and gas industries, is employing a real-time locating system from Zebra to enhance logistic operations at its offshore marine base in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

Incorporated in this solution is a real-time locating system from Zebra including RFID tags and visibility server software, an integrated visibility software package that provides tools to design, configure, operate and troubleshoot RTLS solutions.

With the new system A. Harvey will be able to locate containers, and the high value assets within them, in real-time. It will also enable the company to ensure all containers are certified before they are sent offshore.

IDBLUE, a Zebra channel partner, is overseeing the development, delivery and support of the solution. [end]
