GAO RFID added a 13.56 MHz RFID waterproof wrist band tag to its product collection, designed for use for attendance management in swimming pools, washing centers, saunas and other outdoor water recreational centers.

The tag is compliant with the ISO 156693 standard and offers a read range of 1 cm to 10 cm. With a variety of integrated circuits to choose from, it is resistant to vibration and is capable of withstanding temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C.

Fastrac RFID installed for convenience at Ontario libraries

Vaughan Public Libraries in Ontario, Ca. are in the final stages of implementing the Fastrac RFID system.

The Fastrac RFID will provide greater convenience to patrons, time savings for the staff and additional security for the library itself. Provided by the partnership between VTLS and mk Sorting Systems, the installation will include several self-checkout kiosks, staff stations, RFID gates, tagging stations, tagging wands and tags.
