Health First, serving Brevard County, Fla., has implemented AeroScout’s Wi-Fi RFID asset tracking and temperature monitoring solutions in three of its hospitals, and a fourth which is under construction.
The community-based health system uses the real time location system to increase equipment utilization, improve patient care and reduce capital expenditures.
With it Health First is able to more effectively monitor use of its 1,200 infusion pumps, tracking the location, status and cleanliness.
With AeroScout’s Wi-Fi Temperature Monitoring solution, Health First can also wirelessly tracks the temperature of refrigerators that store medications located throughout its three hospitals, alleviating the nursing and pharmacy staff of the task of manually tracking temperature readings.
