Apacer Technology recently won an iF 2010 award, taking home a Design and Innovation Award for its RFID-enabled SmartBadge USB drive, according to a mobile mag report.

The SmartBadget serves multiple purposes, among them being the obvious - an ID badge. But it features an integrated RFID reader and security software capabilities which look to serve to a variety of applications, including employees working at a data intensive, secure offices.


Even at trade shows, exhibitors can wireless transfer data to a visitors badge via RFID.

Aside from displaying the person’s name and picture, the SmartBadge may slide open to reveal four detachable USB drives.
