RF Code announces latest real time asset management solution

RF Code Inc. announced the latest version of its real time asset management software, Asset Manager 2.2.

Used to monitor, track and manage physical IT assets in the data center and throughout the distributed enterprise, the new solution features real time asset location, tracking and reporting through the use of active RFID tags.


Major new features include those that provide enhanced usability of the asset data captured by the solution’s active tags, sent to the solutions active readers and then managed by the asset manager software.

Additionally, the Asset Manager 2.2 software provides open APIs that make for an easy and fast integration into existing enterprise management platforms. [end] 

AOptix Technologies announced that SITA, a specialist in air transport communications and information technology, has joined the AOptix Value Added Reseller program.

Under the partnership, SITA, who has customers in more than 200 countries which includes 300 airport locations, would be able to offer its customers AOptix solutions. These offerings include the InSight iris and face recognition product as an automated solution for airports to quickly and securely identify passengers at security checkpoints with documents such as biometric-enabled passports.

Texas Instruments (TI) introduced a pair of encapsulated RFID mini-transponders designed for applications in animal tagging and asset tracking.

The 12mm TRPGR30TGC and TRPGP40TGC mini-transponders were developed to enable users a battery-free solution for embedding RFID tags into smaller objects across a broader range of applications. These transponders come ready-to-use and are 100 percent backwards compatible with all of TI’s RFID software and readers including power modules, control modules and micro readers.
