Newport Digital Technologies announced that it has introduced Secure RFID Protocol compliant reader-writer, inlays, tags, and integrated circuit chips in it’s N37B RFID product offering.
Developed by Hitachi, the Secure RFID Protocol is based on the ISO 18000-6 type C Standard and EPC C1Gen2 Standard, providing enhanced security functions including communication distance control that restricts the communication range of tags and prohibits their reading, and limits access to multiple memory banks within the tags through password authentication.
The Secure RFID Protocol supports secure data protection and confidentiality of multiple data profiles for business-sensitive data and consumer privacy protection. ![[end]](/resources/bullet/rfidnews-4.gif)
