Tuesday, May 25, 2010

Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in Sao Paulo, Brazil has chosen AeroScout and its asset tracking and temperature monitoring solutions for improving staff efficiency, equipment utilization and patient safety and care.

Additionally, using AeroScout’s real time location system will enable the hospital to track and manage thousands of medical equipment units and wirelessly monitor the temperature in refrigerators and freezers.

The system will utilize the hospital’s pre-existing Cisco Unified Wireless Network, covering the 86,000-square-meter medical center, to locate critical equipment throughout the facility, such as wheelchairs and infusion pumps.

HIAE also uses AeroScout Temperature Monitoring to automate the monitoring of refrigerators and freezers throughout the hospital, including its liquid nitrogen cryogenic freezers.

The solutions employed by HIAE include AeroScout MobileView software in Brazilian Portuguese and a Cisco Mobility Services Engine (MSE) for enhanced network management and wireless client tracking capabilities. [end]
