Sirit announced that it has signed a five-year agreement with MIKOH for the supply of Sirit’s RFID technology for the Government of Thailand’s upcoming electronic vehicle registration systems project.

Over the next five years the Thailand project is expected to utilize hundreds of Sirit ID5100 AVI readers along with more than 30 million Sirit RFID tags. The tags will also feature MIKOH’s Safe and Secure break on removal construction for improved authentication of each of the tags.

Once affixed to a vehicle, the government plans to expand to other automated applications such as electronic tolling, traffic flow management, emissions compliance and vehicle access and control. [end]
