Park employs RFID wristbands for guests with special needs

Tuesday, May 11, 2010

The Denim Group, an IT consultant and software developer, announced that it has been chosen to develop an online registration platform to integrate with an RFID-based location system at Morgan’s Wonderland, the world’s first fun park for special-needs children, adults, and their families.

To ensure the safety of its guests who require special needs, the 25-acre Morgan’s Wonderland employs RFID wristbands and readers to display guests’ location in the park all in real-time.

The wristbands also hold critical personal information, such as medical conditions and allergies - especially convenient for non-verbal guests.

The Web portal will speed up wait times and allow guests to simply pick up their pre-made, personalized RFID wristband upon entering the park.

Future applications include personalized greetings and tailored exhibit events based on personal preferences stored in the wristbands. [end]
