Intelleflex announces standards based XC3 tech platform

Intelleflex announced the upgrade of their existing tag and reader family its new next generation, standards based battery assisted passive XC3 technology platform.

The XC3 technology platform is comprised of RFID chips, tags, reader modules, fixed readers and mobile hand held readers, and supports both the existing EPC global Class 1 Gen 2 standard and the emerging ISO 18000-6C Class 3 standard.


The new Intelleflex XC3 technology platform provides read and write ranges up to 100 meters, 60 kb of on-chip extended memory, security using multi-layer password protection and over-the-air data encryption and sensor support.

Its design supports many applications and industries, including: asset tracking, cold chain management, manufacturing WIP control, construction, agriculture, reusable container tracking, vehicle/yard management and many others. [end] 

Texas Instruments (TI) introduced a pair of encapsulated RFID mini-transponders designed for applications in animal tagging and asset tracking.

The 12mm TRPGR30TGC and TRPGP40TGC mini-transponders were developed to enable users a battery-free solution for embedding RFID tags into smaller objects across a broader range of applications. These transponders come ready-to-use and are 100 percent backwards compatible with all of TI’s RFID software and readers including power modules, control modules and micro readers.

Gemalto announced it has acquired M2M service provider SensorLogic in an asset arrangement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Plano, Texas-based SensorLogic has a cloud-based machine-to-machine (M2M) service delivery platform. With it, customers can build, deploy and manage M2M products through applications like asset tracking, servicing and telematics and equipment monitoring.

The UK’s YESpay International and YES-wallet.com have teamed up to build an NFC-enabled cloud-based mobile payments platform.

By integrating the YES-wallet Pouch digital wallet with YESpay EMBOSS payment service, the companies will provide a platform that encompasses e-Money, pre-paid and gift-card payments based on Visa PayWave and MasterCard PayPass contactless standards.
