Belgium casino stacks chips with GPI

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Gaming Partners International has completed delivery of over 70,300 of its casino chips and plaques at the Viage entertainment and gaming complex in Brussels, Belgium.

The chips and plaques come from GPI’s Bourgogne & Grasset line of casino currency products, fitted with 125 KHz RFID microchips.

GPI’s line of RFID-enabled casino currency enables casinos to verify the authenticity and value of each chip, plaque and jeton, reducing the possibility of counterfeits, staff pilferage or errors in casino currency counts.

Once fitted with specialized readers and software, each casino can follow payments, fills and credits, table drops, tips, and win and losses per table at any time of the day. [end]
