RecycleBank taps DecisionPoint Systems for field mobility platform

Thursday, March 25, 2010

RecycleBank has selected DecisionPoint Systems to design, implement and support its asset management platform in the field.

RecycleBank provides incentives through its recycling rewards program across 26 states and in the UK using RFID-enabled recycling carts to track household participation. Using specially-equipped recycling trucks, the RFID carts are weighed - the weight is converted to points that be redeemed at over 2,500 local and national businesses.

Utilizing bar code, RFID, and GPS data in the field, DecisionPoint and RecycleBank created a customized mobile asset tracking program to help clients setup, deploy, and maintain their population of recycling carts.

The platform system includes all the hardware, software, maintenance and support that each community needs. [end]
