FloraHolland taps Omni-ID for flower trolley tag solution

Friday, March 19, 2010

Horticulture and flower industry auctioneer, FloraHolland selected Omni-ID to tag and track trolleys that transport flowers and plants throughout the supply chain.

Omni-ID and partner Mieloo & Alexander worked to develop the ultra high frequency RFID solution which will tag every auction trolley with an Omni-ID MAX ABS, passive RFID tag.

FloraHolland recently merged with VBA. The auctioneer is now responsible for six auction centers and approximately 270,000 auction trolleys. The Omni-ID Max ABS tags were selected for their read rates near water-filled buckets and in a high humidity environment – typical conditions found when shipping plants and flowers. [end]
