Melexis, ProximaRF join forces for temperature monitoring

Friday, March 12, 2010

Melexis and ProximaRF have joined forces to enable fast and easy development of data logging applications with its RFID sensor kit. The model DVK90129 looks to help with implementation of RFID technology in applications such as cold chain management, industrial data logging or medical monitoring devices.

The RFID kit demonstrates a contactless sensing system on a chip with an embedded versatile sensor interface, internal temperature sensor, data storage memory and an ISO/IEC15693 RFID tag front end.

The RFID sensor kit is composed of an evaluation board featuring the MLX90129, the Federal Communications Commission certified plug and play Proxima RF desktop reader - its interface software and API together with the related licenses. [end]
