Glacier Computer announced the launch of the newest additions to its M3 Series of handheld computers – the rugged M300 and the M305.

The two devices are sport an optional 13.56 MHz RFID reader that is ISO 14443 and ISO 15693 compliant, which make them suitable for a assortment of indoor and outdoor applications including warehousing, retail and field services.


Both offer additional features and accessories that include Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, a 3.5” touch screen display, 2.0 MP color camera, and standard 1D or 2D variable range scanners. The 22 oz. mobile computers also offer Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS for wireless transmissions.

The two inherit the M3 Series board-level technique to provide a light-weight, durable form factor that is sealed to IP65 rating and certified to withstand multiple six foot drops to concrete. [end] 

Casio Computer Co. has announced the development of a new NFC-enabled IT-9000 handheld terminal with printer module.

Slated to launch this year, the IT-9000E-MC25E is built for a range of operations that require mobile printing, such as mobile point of sale, receipts for public transportation, ticket and traffic violation issuance and field force automation.
