Friday, February 12, 2010

Translogik RFID Limited, a subsidiary of Transense Technologies, has signed an exclusive global distribution agreement that excludes China with tire dealer Qingdao Mesnac Co. Ltd. for its range of RFID products.

Translogik has developed an AIAG B11 compliant tag to be embedded within tire walls during the manufacturing process where it will last the lifetime. A external patch is also available for aftermarket solutions.

The plan is set to detour the theft and counterfeiting of tires, a significant problem for truck and bus fleets, and car rental companies worldwide, says Transense officials. [end]
