Thursday, January 28, 2010

Bombardier Transportation has selected TagMaster for several of its metro projects in Asia, by providing its RFID solutions system.

One project, including more than a hundred heavy-duty readers and eight hundred heavy-duty tags, will equip metro transports with RFID readers to provide accurate location and track alignment.

Utilizing TagMaster’s positioning software, the system will automatically calibrate the train’s alignment along the track. The system, to offload and pickup passengers will also carry out stopping the trains at precise points at each platform.

TagMaster’s Field Programmable tags will also enable Bombardier to program the tag location information in the field, as needed by the site installation team. [end]
