DAILY releases long-range active RFID reader

Monday, December 28, 2009

DAILY RFID has launched a 2.4GHz active RFID reader DL3800, designed to provide long read range up to 100m.

With rapid tag processing, the 2.4GHz active RFID reader has the ability to detect multiple tags within a region of 100 meters at the same time. Automatically receiving information from active tags, it may also read and write configuration and user data to the tags.

The DL3800 can be easily mounted for indoor or outdoor use, to upload of data in real time, and interact with computers through TCP/IP or USB, enabling easy integration with almost any Plug-and-Play device.

With a high-feature module, the DL3800 is well suitable for many applications, such as jewelry management, library management solutions, the identification of goods and objects in industrial, logistics, etc. [end]

Texas Instruments (TI) introduced a pair of encapsulated RFID mini-transponders designed for applications in animal tagging and asset tracking.

The 12mm TRPGR30TGC and TRPGP40TGC mini-transponders were developed to enable users a battery-free solution for embedding RFID tags into smaller objects across a broader range of applications. These transponders come ready-to-use and are 100 percent backwards compatible with all of TI’s RFID software and readers including power modules, control modules and micro readers.
