GPI deliver RFID gaming equipment to new Las Vegas casino

Friday, December 18, 2009

Gaming Partners International announced the delivery of its casino gaming tables, gaming chips, precision dice and other table game equipment to the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

The order consisted of 190 custom-built gaming tables and GPI’s popular Paulson line of gaming chips, which are equipped with high-frequency 13.56MHz microchips.

The technology offered with all GPI’s line of casino currency allows casinos to verify the authenticity and value of each chip instantly, reducing the possibility of counterfeits, staff pilferage or errors in casino currency counts. With GPI’s specialized readers and software, casinos can track individual chips throughout the gaming floor, follow payments, fills and credits, table drops, tips, and wins and losses per table at any time of the day.

GPI’s high-frequency RFID chips are compatible with special player tracking hardware and software that allow for accurate tracking of play data from tables so casinos can follow player bets to accurately rate and reward players. [end]
