Rush Tracking Systems select Impinj's VisibleEdge lift truck solution

Thursday, December 10, 2009

UHF Gen 2 RFID technology provider Impinj Inc. announced that Rush Tracking Systems has selected the Speedway Revolution reader for the VisiblEdge RFID lift truck solution.

VisiblEdge is a solution for industrial manufacturing and warehousing operations supporting business processes such as WIP tracking, automated shipping and receiving, returnable container tracking, waste management and other hands-off asset tracking applications. To provide real-time inventory accuracy, the VisiblEdge solution automatically captures product or asset identification and location information without operator interaction.

Impinj’s Speedway Revolution reader successfully passed Mil-Std-810G tests, which certify products for use on industrial vehicles in extreme conditions including vibration and shocks up to 50 Gs. The Speedway Revolution reader features Autopilot technology, which enhance RFID reader performance, ease-of-use and rugged reliability.

Impinj’s patented Autopilot technology continuously adapts the reader to its operating environment to provide the same performance at all times. For instances such as lift truck applications, RFID system performance depends upon many constantly changing environmental factors - RF interference levels, tag density in the reader field and ambient RF noise. Autopilot does just as the name implies, by automatically adjusting the reader to provide the same performance without the need for manual tuning. [end]
