Zetes cuts a deal with ImageID

Zetes Industries, a European provider of solutions for the automatic identification of goods, has cut a deal with ImageID, a provider in imaging-based traceability products and solutions.

The deal includes ImageID’s company assets, along with patents and properties. This acquisition will also include ImageID’s Visidot Supply Chain Traceability solutions for the tracking and tracing of high volumes of products across Europe.


Visidot is able to identify hundreds of bar codes in seconds, while providing real-time Web-based management and reporting. Visidot is also cable of detecting in parallel wrong and missing labels, storing digital images for improved quality assurance.

Visidot provides supply chain control to a range of industries including those in the distribution of perishable foods such as meat, poultry, fish and bread, as well as automotive and electronic manufacturers. Visidot is even used for returnable assets such as pallets and crates. [end] 

EarthSearch Communications has entered into a partnership agreement with Cynox, the Nigerian technology solutions provider, to monitor fuel levels in oil tankers.

In Nigeria, the cancellation of government oil subsidies has lead to increasing concerns over oil theft. EarthSearch’s integrated RFID and GPS product, together with level sensor technology will be used to monitor sudden drops in fuel level to detect the unauthorized siphoning of oil from the top of tanker.
