DAILY unveils RFID tag to endure harsh environments

Thursday, November 26, 2009

DAILY RFID announced a new durable and lightweight Metal Mount RFID tag which is designed for businesses that require performance in difficult environmental conditions.

The newly designed Gen 2 Metal Mount RFID tags are specially designed for direct on-metal use, with an outer coating made of advanced lightweight materials which help to absorb impact, resist corrosion, and overcome high temperatures.

The UHF tag is durable and has a read/write range of 10 cm to 3 m depending on reader capabilities, with frequencies ranging from 860MHz to 960MHz. It is capable of operating in temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius, and will max out around 70 degree Celsius.

Their formulated design makes them the perfect match for asset tracking done by industrial organizations and warehousing solutions. [end]
