Infinite Power Solutions launches powerful new thin-film single-cell battery
Infinite Power Solutions has announced availability of the THINERGY MEC102, its new solid-state, thin-film, single cell battery designed for use in micro-electronic applications, such as semi-active RFID tags.
The tiny MEC102 provides a nominal 4V output and features a flexible package design that maximizes the active area of the cell while minimizing the device’s footprint.
The new batteries have an expected lifetime of up to 20 years, and will not overheat, burn, leak or outgas, according to THINERGY.
Other features of the MEC102 include multiple capacity options up to 2.5mAh, and up to 10mWh (36 Joules) of energy, a total package thickness of 170micrometers and a discharge rate of less than 1 percent charge loss per year. ![[end]](/resources/bullet/rfidnews-4.gif)
