DAILY releases new LF Disc tag

DAILY RFID has released a new “user-friendly” 125KHz RFID Disc tag for asset tracking, library management, logistics and anti-counterfeiting.

This 125KHz Low Frequency RFID Disc tags offer a read up to 10cm and are self-adhesive, waterproof, dust-proof and resistant to immersion in salt water, alcohol and oil.

The readable/writable tags are available with standard chips such as the EM4001, TK4100, EM4102, Hitag-S, Hitag-1, Hitag-2, etc., and can be customized in size and shape and memory capacity. [end]

3M Library Systems tapped to monitor 1.6 million items in Washington Co., Oregon

The Washington County, Oregon library system is set to roll out an automated RFID system across its 15-library network, according to The Oregonian.

3M Library Systems was selected as the vendor of choice to monitor the countywide library collection of more than 1.6 million items including books, movies and music discs. The 3M installation comprises entry and exit security gates, staff workstations and customer self-service kiosks.

DAILY RFID has announced a new 13.56 MHz HF Smart Label-11 tag tailored specifically for tracking luggage or other valuables at the airport.

The contacltess paper tag supports ISO/IEC 14443A or ISO/IEC 14443B or ISO/IEC 15693 protocols and functions within a temperature range of -10 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius, making it ideal for low-intensity environments like airports.
