Axcess and HID Global team up for wireless credential system

Monday, November 2, 2009

Axcess International has announced that HID Global will lend its low frequency physical access control technology for Axcess’s DotTM Wireless Credential system.

The DotTM Wireless Credential system is designed to provide businesses real time visibility into the location and status of their labor and assets inside their operation.

Wireless Credentials also enable numerous other applications, including automated internal zonal security monitoring, visitor tracking, contractor time and attendance data collection, emergency evacuation accounting, and real-time personnel performance measurement. Additionally, Axcess’ Dot Wireless Credentials were recently used to help protect President Obama during his April visit to Trinidad for the 5thSummit of the Americas Conference, according to a release by Axcess.

Axcess International worked with the HID Global team in developing a License Agreement that has allowed Axcess to successfully implement the first hybrid prox-long range Wireless Credential product in the world, according to Ben Donohue, VP Business Development at Axcess. [end]
