Monday, October 12, 2009

iDTRONIC has introduced its new UHF RFID Desktop Reader from its EVO series for multi-tag transponder reading and writing with a USB interface.

The UHF USB Desktop Reader supports ISO18000-6 B/C tags including Class1 Gen2, and accommodates a frequency range of 840—960MHz, making it usable in Europe, US and Japan.

The Desktop Reader is integrable into most common RFID applications, including ticketing, payroll systems, time attendance, and access control systems, but is best suited for reading and writing cards and transponders, according to iDTRONIC. [end]

GAO RFID has released a Wiegand-to-Ethernet RFID controller designed specifically for door access applications.

The network access controller, model 491018, is able to connect to any type of Wiegand reader such as magnetic stripe reader, RFID reader or fingerprint reader. It also offers a master card for adding or deleting access privileges directly from the external reader, thus acting independently without connection to a network or PC.
