Laird releases new weatherproof RFID antenna system

Laird Technologies, a manufacturer of wireless systems components, has announced the release of its RooTenna series, a new line of RFID HD antennas housed within a weatherproof die-cast enclosure.

The RooTenna line covers industry standard RFID frequencies ranging from 865-868 MHz and 902-928 MHz, as well as a wide band version for 865-960 MHz. Features include low voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), axial ratio, and a fixed SMA connector.

The weatherproof enclosure can be wall or pole mounted and is ideal for outdoor use by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and system integrators, says Laird. [end]
