Digital Angel, Schering-Plough renew contract

Digital Angel, an technology company in the field of animal identification and emergency identification solutions, announced that its Destron Fearing unit has signed a contract extension with Intervet Incorporated, the animal health unit of Schering-Plough Corporation, to provide syringe and RFID microchip systems and readers.


While the terms of the contract were not disclosed, the agreement provides for price and volume minimums, and the extension runs through December 31, 2009. Intervet markets Destron Fearing’s companion pet products under the HomeAgain brand.

Since 1994, Digital Angel has provided Schering-Plough’s animal health business with products for its HomeAgain pet recovery system, which has recovered over 500,000 lost pets during that time. [end] 

ActivIdentity announced that idOnDemand is using its ActivID Card Management System to simplify the issuance and management of digital credentials on smart cards.

Comtech Mobile Datacom has received an order totaling $1.4 million under its movement tracking system contract with the U.S. Army.

The order is in Phase II of an ongoing effort to complete migration of all RFID processes to the new international standard ISO/IEC 18000-7. It encompasses modifications to the platform’s application program, network and other interfaces.
