FleetMind to partner with Alien Technology

Monday, June 1, 2009

FleetMind Solutions Inc., a provider of fleet management systems, has announced plans to integrate technology from RFID hardware provider Alien Technology into its products. The new RFID-enabled solution from FleetMind will offer real-time and fully automated service verification for waste and recycling firms.

The new solution will enable users to have immediate visibility of customer activity and service accuracy. The system will also alert fleet management personnel when a waste cart has been moved or stolen. This same level of visibility can be offered to municipalities contracting with FleetMind users for residential service, which should cut down on inaccurate service complaints and related disagreements between the waste firms and their clients.

Montreal-based FleetMind Solutions was founded in Canada in 1996. The company has greatly expanded operations in the U.S. market in recent years. [end]
