BlueStar acquires European distribution firm
BlueStar, a distributor of RFID and other technology solutions has announced the acquisition of the Swedish firm ADC Nordic, a distributor of AutoID, Point-of-Sale, mobile data management, and RFID products. The acquisition is part of the Hebron, Ky., based BlueStar’s efforts to expand the global reach of its distribution network.
ADC Nordic offers a range hardware, repair services, software solutions and marketing support for dealers, system integrators, and IT consultants. Its purchase gives BlueStar established market penetration in these areas in the Scandinavian and Baltic regions. A spokesperson for BlueStar indicated that in deference to the established relationships ADC Nordic has in these regions, all sales representatives, along with the rest of the Swedish company’s staff, will remain in place.
ADC Nordic’s new ownership will mean an increased product and service line for the company. BlueStar has also indicated it plans to invest in additional marketing, sales and inventory levels to increase customer service to the region. ![[end]](/resources/bullet/rfidnews-4.gif)
