GAO unveils square paper tag

Monday, February 16, 2009 in News

Canada’s GAO RFID Inc. has launched a new HF square paper tag. The tag is designed for use in ticketing, library management and anti-counterfeiting solutions.

The new 13.56 MHz tag, GAO product number GAO113002, can be scanned at a rate of 30 labels per second and a distance of up to 10cm. In order to withstand harsh environments, it is waterproof, dustproof and resistant to immersion in salt water, alcohol, oil, and 10% HCl and ammonia solutions. It is indeed square, measuring in at 43mm by 43mm.

GAO suggests the tag would also be useful in electronic article surveillance solutions. [end]
